The Backstory:
OK, so when I put my PC together and turned it on, there was no bios and the beep codes were messed up. I thought it was the motherboard, so I did extremely extensive testing and it seemed as it was the motherboard for sure. So I RMA'd it and got a new one. Didn't work.

Then I thought it was my RAM. I put my ram in my friend's PC and it worked fine. Then, I tested the PSU. Everything was within the tolerances for the power supply.

That leaves 1 more thing, the CPU. But I heard that the chances of getting a faulty CPU is near zero. The CPU in question is the I5 4670K. I installed it properly, didn't touch the contacts, made sure the little triangle on the corner of the CPU was lined up and everything and installed the cooler properly.

Do you think I missed anything? How is Intel Customer Support? Any second opinions are greatly appreciated.

Parts list
-i5 4670k
-MSI Z87m 43
-8 gigs of ram
-Corsair CX 600m Modular PSU
-Sapphire Dual-X 7950

Thanks
-Steve

PS. if this is the wrong place to put this post, can you please tell me where to put it?

I've never had to use their customer support, but that cpu has a 3 year warranty I think, so you can probably RMA the cpu to intel if you want. True, the cpu isnt usually the problem from what i've seen, but that doesnt mean that it's not possible, even Intel isnt infallible.

I suppose if you had another computer you could try testing the cpu (if it's the right board of course) in there to confirm the cpu as the problem.

*Just confirming, you did test it with only the intel integrated graphics.. correct? Along with plugging in the cpu power cable?
