Hello all,

After experiencing a crash recently on my Toshiba Qosmio x775-q7272 laptop, I noticed that all my games were running much slower. After some investigating, I discovered that my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics card is no longer being detected - it doesn't show up under Display Adapters in the Device Manager, and when I try to open the NVIDIA control panel I get a message saying that "NVIDIA Display Settings are not available: An NVIDIA graphics card was not detected in your system." I went on the NVIDIA site and downloaded the latest driver, but it refused to install, saying I lacked compatible hardware. My BIOS is updated to the latest version. I need help! Can anyone tell me what to do to remedy this?

I could discern no such setting in my computer's BIOS, no.

Thanks for all the help. I tried removing the battery for 10 mins, but it had no effect. I'll try opening up the laptop to see what's what inside when I have the time.
