That's my build as I see it. I'm a complete noob when it comes to RAM so if anyone can advise me on my choice or which ram to get that is a better choice it would be much appreciated.
First of all,
Yes I understand my only hard drive is only 256GB SSD. It's for a reason and I have plenty of USB 3.0 externals should I need more storage. Also I have an external CD/DVD drive that isn't included in the list. Also I'm working with size constraints on this build which is why I went with the Mini ITX. I plan on putting money into the cooling as needed.
I plan to overclock the CPU and GPU and the rig will be mostly used for gaming. I plan on getting an aftermarket CPU cooler after I get the build together and verify how much space I have left in the case for it.
1) I've heard the ASUS boards are great for OC'ing. True?
2) What freq and CL timing should I look for in my RAM for this setup? (I may OC my RAM in the future once I look into it a little more so I'd like to leave that option open) Please keep in mind I'd prefer it was Low Profile RAM so as to not get in the way of my CPU cooler.
3) any other critiquing or advice you have?
