Hi guys, i'm looking for a new graphics card that i can use for my gaming and streaming. My old card was Radeon HD 6850. Im thinking about getting the 7790 for about $130. I have $150 to play with, so im open to suggestions.
that's more of a half step up then a full step up... if you want a significant and noticeable step up, save another $20-$40 and get yourself a 7950. if you can't save any more a 7850 will be a step up as well.
And just where is he going to find an HD 7950 for $170-$180 when the absolute cheapest one on newegg is $210? Sure, he gets a $30 mail-in-rebate but he still has to have the $210 (plus tax) to begin with.

my 7770 uses the same type of cooler and is also from msi. I was able to get the rebate in 2 weeks, it was a pretty simple process. Love my 7770, that 7850 will be a step up from your 6850, not a huge one, but it should be noticeable.
