Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 16GB @ $129.99 + 10% OFF PROMO

Patriot Viper 3 16GB @ $136.99 + 10% OFF PROMO
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220734

Is there a noticeable difference between these two RAM kits? I know they have different CAS ratings, timing, speed, etc.
Would the difference between specs justify the [$7.00 USD + 10% OFF PROMO] price difference or would the difference be negligible?

The RAM would be used in a "ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2" motherboard with an FX-8350 CPU. [Render PC]

recommendations for better, cheaper RAM are welcome. (must remain under $136.99 USD before discounts)

the viper patriot memory is clocked higher by 267 mhz which will preform faster.everything from the hard drive is loaded to the ram the ram feeds the information to the cpu the faster its clocked the faster it can send data and receive.there will be a difference in all tasks:)

it might now work as supposed a customer once bought 260 euro vengeance clocked at 2400 and it was under clocked by the motherboard at 1600.
as i see none of there memories are qualified for this motherboard not sure if you want to risk it.

can't you fix the RAM speed via BIOS?

best way to go is to copy the part number from the QVL Qualified Vendor List for the ram from the motherboard manufacture located at the support section and try to find the one suited for your needs and budget.

personal advice
before buying anything CPU,RAM or motherboard check if everything is supported ;)

you can under clock it if the cpu cant handle it but most likely this posses it done automatically. but why buy something that wont do what it is meant to.its like buying a limousine to go to work lol :)

Corsair (on the QVL) CMZ8GX3M4X1600C9

Anon posted..."As previous reviews mentioned, it's only 1333, but I was informed that most RAM defaults at 1333 and you have to set it to 1600 in BIOS."
etc.

does all RAM do that?

no not all ram kingstone has never done this so far. its the most common we suggest works on everything.even if it does you change setting in BIOS wont take over one minute.
