So Last night my husband tried to reformat our pc and from what I gathered he deleted a partition and when he tried to put back on windows 7 now it just says that file is either corrupted or missing. And he wiped out Windows 7 completely from the pc. SO right now I'm pretty much screwed. I cant restore to an earlier point either like there is no operating system on there. How can I fix this?

Might be a bad disk. They do that sometimes. Not often, but sometimes.

You can download the relevant Windows 7 ISO from here:

Burn to a disk and activate with your existing key.
from what you are discribing the issue is, you will need a copy of windows 7 on disk or flash drive to repair the damage. It sounds like he formatted the partition with the OS on it. if you have a friend that has the same version of the OS you maybe able to borrow the disk, install and enter your code for activation.

It might sound a bit obvious, but try cleaning the Win7 disk first with eg a spectacles cleaning wipe. I have found the same problem with disks in the past, and this has worked more often than not. If it does not, then as USAFRet suggests, you can download a copy.
