Ok here is my problem. I built my computer several years ago and when I did I put an old IDE drive in as extra storage and a brand new SATA drive in. The problem is that when I installed Vista (this was years ago) that the SATA drive was not formatted as a system drive because the IDE drive already was. So even though the Windows installation was on the SATA, the IDE drive is needed to boot up. I Didn't realize my mistake till months later and I had too much Data to just blow clean and start over.
Fast forward to now. The IDE drive is almost dead, and I can only boot up after a hour or so of tinkering to get it to work. All my Data is on the SATA drive. I have a brand new SATA drive that I want to replace the IDE drive with and make it the new boot drive. I also want to clone the data from the old SATA and copy it over to the new drive and use the old SATA as a data drive.

What is the best way to do this without losing any of my data?
