When you turn on your Easynote, you should press and hold F11 immediately at the Packard Bell splash screen. You can restore the machine to factory defaults by selecting a "non-destructive restore" (which will not wipe out your private data.) You may have to load new applications, but your data should remain intact.
Alternatively, if you made a "System repair disc" using the utility in Control Panel when your laptop was working okay, boot from it and choose "Startup repair".
