To try and fix Splinter Cell Blacklist (which wouldn't start), I tried to uninstall my ATI drivers (HD 7770). Because I wasn't really paying attention, I un-installed the Catalyst Control Centre. That was a big mistake. When I downloaded a new version of the Software Suite, it crashed when it was trying to update the CCC. I also tried doing a system restore to the day before I un-installed the CCC to start with; but system restore broke down on me.

Try using CCleaner to clean up registry files related to CCC. Reuse/Delete the AMD folder in Local Disk C which contains the setup files (you can try using the old version you installed from here if you didn't delete it).
