Will my AMD Phenom II Black 965 fit Asus Sabertooth

Hey guys, thinking of upgrading my motherboard with ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS. I run a AMD Phenom 2 Black 965. Im waiting for my gts 760 also. got 2x4gb Vengeance DDR3 memories. Thanks

yes the CPU should work based on the supported CPU list from ASUS

It's an excellent choice and you should also upgrade your CPU too sometime. There's nice upgradeability with that board and it has great VRM's and plenty of PCI express ports. It's a nice design with a lot of awesome features and it's not too expensive either. Asus makes quality parts. One thing I have always loved about AMD is how they keep backwards compatibility for so long. Your CPU is on the list of supported CPU's. Thank you, what CPU do you recommend for the future. Right now i spent 250$ for the Asus OC2 Gtx 760. Next the motherboard, and hopefully after another processor.
