okay, so i have an inspiron 660 with a 300W PSU. It has 6gb of 1600Mhz RAM, an Intel i3 3220 duo-core, and a seagate barracuda 1TB.

So i have been saving money for a new GPU, but not sure i have enough wattage... I want a Sapphire Radeon 7850 Dual-X OC edition wwith 2gb of GDDR5 RAM, this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102999

let me know if i need a new PSU or my current 300W is enough, thanks :)

I can tell you if it is OEM it is not going to be enough. A good 450w PSU should be enough. By good I mean, Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power & Cooling, XFX, & Silverstone to name a few that come immediately to mind and ones I trust.

+1 the 550w XFX is a great power supply that I have used in many builds.

Why did you quote me? and xfx is a quality name brand.

Congrats you went from one doorstop to another. Really I don't think these companies should be allowed to sell this crap. http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx
