Will it do any harm to skip the thermal paste on CPU and heatsink while trying to determine whether a motherboard is bad or not? I'm sending back my second refurbished motherboard to manufacturer and when I get the 3rd, I was hoping to just test it without thermal paste in a breadboard configuration to see if it will POST. If it tests satisfactorily, I'll apply thermal paste and install it back in the case.
