AMD's new gaming CPUs?

the last two years they been bleeding money and eng people do to layoffs. right now there pushing there funding in the gpu war with nvidia where they have a chance of being number one gpu company again. right now there no way they can beat intel cpu. intel keeps leap frogging them on there tic-toc cycle.

Agreed hahahaha but i still love AMD even though that fact since my computers are basically gaming and encoding massive amounts of music.

You never know streamroller kaveri looks like it will kick a i3 and hell richland is very close to a i5 3330 in performance while gaming i have seen can be a bit let down its a all round chip which struts its stuff enough to be attractive

http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-3330-vs-AMD-A10-6800K

i do believe the apu kaveri will rock the boat for intels low end

pentium
i3 and low end i5s

streamroller fx may compete with i5 3570k if they get there power down and there performance up as a 8350 isnt really a good comparison uses to much energy to be worth it and most times costs same.

kaveri looks to have something of a 7750 as a gpu so that in itself is going to slap nvidias lower end markets

whos gonna pick up a gt 630 or gt 640 when they can get a apu with practically same performance plus par it with what we all assume a 7750 to 7770 possibly 7790 who knows.

it will put the squeeze on intels market

the only selling point they have is i7 and later on broadwell which i doubt will be much impact as i suspect the next apu will put the squeeze on intel

funny thing is intel have got lazy with haswell and this may cost them as haswell wasnt a big jump.

Please don't start this on another persons thread, besides moderators really look down on the whole Intel vs. AMD thread.

no offense im not a fan boy of either i use amd for my laptops and intel for my desktops all im point at is the fact that amds apus most likely will be better for gaming in both pcs and other devices possibly im not starting anything just saying my opinion. as he did ask will they better for gaming all im showing is most likely.

I know I'm just sketchy when it comes to that, sorry..my fault, just every time it's brought up it really starts a huge argument, and the thread ends up getting closed. I am not for either one either, I run AMD on both my laptop and Desktop & Intels on my HTPC, Work Computer (Intel i7 Extreme), and Other Desktop at home.

understandable and i get were your coming from i hate they whole bickering gets old especially when the tide of processors shifts alot and i think streamrolller well just have to wait and see i suppose but they must be getting better as fm2+ boards are soon to come out im hoping for kaveri does shake them up though may wake up intel a bit as i found haswell just a copy of ivy with a better gpu.

Hmmm...i don't know tho since I like AMD but then again i do alot of encoding with music. But yes I agree with you about the A-Series and Intel low enc. The bickering gets only, as I always say people will be a fan of whatever they want, and no one will ever change that even if they agree with you.

At the very least kaveri comes out before streamroller so well see how these chips behave process wise i also think these new boards will help richland out something i heard on linus tips about richland not working correctly with 2133mhz on a75 boards could be fixed by now but who knows. i also believe the latency being lower as well as speed will show improvements more on the apus though then the actual streamroller cores in fx

Steamroller FX is dead btw. Taken off roadmaps long ago. AMD is doing ARM server cores and semi custom now

Ive yet to see this to be properly comfirmed as of yet sure its of the roadmap but until its been properly published and put to bed i aint holding my breath they may make 1 i get the feeling they wanna test out the apu line first so they can work on fx version i cant picture that they would leave fx with just viresha just to much of a gap.

There is a reason there server roadmap only has ARM on it you know. Why wouldn't they brag about an upcoming revenue source to investors. FX is dead.
