Hey forum, right now I have only my monitor hooked into my GPU. I would like to plug the TV in to my GPU as well for watching netflix and stuff. Right now I just unplug the HDMI from my monitor and plug it into my TV when I am going to watch a movie but this is sort of a hassle and I'd like to hook the TV into my GPU as well using DVI so I can simply turn on the TV when I want to watch netflix.

My question though is that when gaming is the GPU going to be spending any energy driving double screens if I do this, even if my TV is turned off? Is the TV being plugged in to the GPU enough to cause the GPU to work twice as hard?
