Best AMD FX Series Processor for ~$120

I'm nearly done with my PC, just need the CPU and ram. I'm buying the CPU next.

I wanted the 8320, but I'm very low on money.

I thought of the FX-6300.. But I'm figured before buying, I'd ask some others first.

The computer is for gaming.

Thanks guys!

That's what I was thinking. Would the two extra cores be worth the $30 extra for the 8320? I'm anxious to get my PC built, and if the 8320 doesn't have a large difference in performance I'll go ahead and get the 6300.

fx 6300 is better then fx 8320 if gaming theres hardly a hairs diffrence in performance

its a bit outdated but have a look at this

to me it has best performance per watt

has better pass score single core and better geek score

also it gets less hot being 95w

ram make sure low profile fins on ram or none at all as it will get in the way of the cooler

id recomend a better cpu cooler as the fx coolers are appauling

depending on width of your case due to height

    tall

    low

  4. Do you do any video rendering, that's primarily where the extra cores come in handy? Then too, ;) if you have the extra $30, the better CPU is a good option

I've got my mac for any video editing so probably not. Mainly gaming and daily stuff. I'll probably get the 6300.

    Thanks for all the help!

Yeah, I'll be getting Windows 8 eventually. I have a copy of XP and 7, so at first I'll use one of those.

Would the 6350 be worth the money for higher clock speed?
  15. Comes down to budget, if it'll fit in then yes I'd go the 6350
