I'm thinking about buying a premade desktop PC... I just think it would be a lot easier, and besides, I'm not confident about building my own, don't wanna break anything or find out I don't know how to put something on the mobo or do something incorrectly. That being said, I'm thinking about buying a PC from a good company. Can anyone suggest me a good PC for $500 - $700? I want it to be from Amazon or Newegg. Unless you find the actual manufactures website I just want it from Amazon or Newegg. I've been looking at iBuyPower PC's, CyberPower PC's, and Avatar Gaming PC's. Not sure which one to get, I was looking at some and the processor was an AMD FX - 6100. Not sure if old is good. I prefer an AMD FX - 6300 or newer. Anyways, hope I described this enough, thanks and I hope someone finds me a good PC. :)

The following sample size is 132, and 28% of them had a negative experience (2 out 5 stars or less):

You buy from them, there's a 28% chance that you will be unsatisfied. No I don't have numbers for the high priced vendors, but is 28% acceptable? Maybe to you it is...in this case, go for it. For me, no...I built my own rig with brand name parts to minimize the chance of failure.

If you have money to spare, there is nothing wrong with buying a nice system from someone else. Having a budget of $500-700 suggests you should either build or own or be disappointed with what you get.

CyberPower and IBuyPower are low cost vendors...OriginPC, AlienWare, FalconNorthwest are high priced (and higher quality vendors). I recommend that if you absolutely must buy your PC pre-built, buy it from the high priced vendors...it will save you headaches. The low priced vendors...well...there's a reason why they are low priced...look at the reviews of IBuyPower and CyberPowerPCs in newegg and you'll know what I'm talking about.
