Question 1: Will all the radeon series be discontinued? Right now you can get a $400 7970 for only $300, and I assume this huge price drop was because of the upcoming R7 and R9 launch. Usually only products are not reduced that much in price unless they're being discontinued.

Question 2: What do we know about the R7 cards? We've only heard about the R9's, and specifically only the R9 290x, we know the R9s will be the high high end cards, like the 7990's, GTX 780's, and GTX Titans. But what will the R7 cards be like, will they just be the 7000 series cards with new name's or a new cheaper tech that provides better performance at lower price? also we heard that they were budget cards but where will the R7 line start and the R9 begin, maybe R7 end at $400 and the R9 start at $600?

I'm asking these because I'm building a new haswell gaming build that I hope will last me at least 3 years without and upgrades and maybe upgrade (or build a whole new one depending if there's a huge jump in CPU technology) after 4 years. I have every single part carefully thought over and picked out except the card. I was just about to pick the sapphire tech 7970 (AMD edition) since it was originally $389, but got slashed down to $300, I wondered about this and search newegg and say that they already had the first R9 card posted so I'm now stuck with a near complete build that I can't order without a card, I'm planning on getting an high end R7, which I hope will be a cheaper version of the 7900 cards, maybe the R7 version of the 7970 will only be $250?
