I recently upgraded my computer.

Intel i3 3210 (3.2Ghz)
2gb DDR2 Ram
ASRock h61m-vs Mobo
Nvidia Geforce 8400gs Graphics card
450watt PSU

Now it became very slow. Earlier I had an amd processor with 2.4 ghz with 2gb ddr2 ram, Asus motherboard and the same graphics card. After upgrading, its slow. Any help is appreciated!

did you wipe and reinstall windows?? if not it running the wrong drivers.
boot into safe mode and remove all of the devices under windows device manger. reboot and install the newest intel chipset drivers then reboot. then install the newest nvidia gpu drivers. also look to see if your running the newest bios on your new mb.

check to see that you have the newest drivers. intel support page has a free driver scanner. let it scan your system and tell you if all your drivers are up to date. if they are then your rig needs more ram. low end is four gig now on newer systems. if your going to game put in two four gig dimms.

When putting ram, should I get one with a lesser cas latency? Also, what shoud i do with my old ram? And also I use a 32bit OS. so putting 1 more 2gb ram is enough right? Will this ram be compatible with my mobo?
