Dell C521, is it okay to replace original PSU by standard one?

Hello this is my first post here. My problem is my Dell C521 cpu wont turn on. It just keeps blinking an orange/amber light in the power led. I've been reading posts about the same problem here and i found out that probaby the cause was a bad PSU. Now I have a standard PSU and Im planning if I can plug this to my Dell as a replacement for the original power supply? I have read in some threads that it is okay, but i want to make sure . Btw sorry for my english

Dell c521 is BTX format, you need make sure the PSU dimensions, I think the BTX should has same W and H. if it can fit into the case, you are fine. Because they should have standard 24pin power connector and other connector.

Hello, sorry for the very late reply. The dimensions do not really matter, i just want to know if i could power up the system and use it with no problem with my standard non Dell PSU??

The motherboard can't tell if you are using the one included or if you pulled a PSU out of the Titan Supercomputer and used that. You should be fine.
