I'm trying to save up some money, but some of the newer games I can't play because I don't fulfill the processor requirements! where can I get them cheap, and what are good processors priced from $50-75?

The thing is if you are going to upgrade your processor, you also have to look up for a compatible motherboard. In total, the cost would shoot up to more than $150. So, how much are you willing to spend?

What is your mobo - be specific

usually a Q6600 witch is a Quad Core socket 775 with a 2.4Ghz, you can OC it BUT it still depends on the mobo and is about 96$:

The only thing i suggest doing is OC your current CPU as much as possible OR invest an an AMD cpu + mobo for ~ 99$:

To upgrade that CPU to something that would be obviously better (by 25% or more that is) you are looking at about $100 even used. The good Q6xxx models go for about $100 or more on ebay. You may want to look into a full motherboard and CPU swap to a new generation as suggested above. Try to get to this: Athlon X4 750K FM2 4MB 100W 4G Box Black Edition from here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106.html, will be a bit more than just a new CPU for your but it would be a marked upgrade. Of even stretch a bit for the FX CPU from that article.
