Hey guys, I'm currently using a gaming laptop but the fact that I can't upgrade and have to replace it every 1.5-2 years is getting pretty annoying. I finally decided that I want a desktop due to the fact I can upgrade it.

I don't really need you guys to tell me what components to get as I'll figure that out myself but I was hoping someone knew of a good, small case. I'm looking for a case that's slim and can fit in a large backpack. The Alienware X51 caught my eye as did the FNW Tiki but they're very expensive and I'd rather build it myself anyway. So does anyone know of a case like this? Does it even exist?

Thanks :)

Solution
Well you could use something like this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811108396

With this case you'll be limited to TFX power supplies which only go to about 350. Like this seasonic

You'll also be limited to half height GPU that draw less then 350. Fastest available is the Nvidia 610 and the AMd 5450 to the best of my knowledge

This one looks good too

that case is pretty small, from top to bottom it's only 240mm that's just like 2 120mm fan. and just a few more.

normally to get the case that you're looking for you might want to go a custom chassis. many here even made some using wood. I made one before using some plate I have lying around but it's very troublesome to build.

I remember seeing one on youtube by linus about this silversone (forgot which one) and it's pretty small.

No I only came across that case today looking around newegg. It's has the only 500 watt tfx power supply I know of. Considering the power supply it really looks to be a steal. Hell I was thinking of orderng myself lol. However it is roughly the same size as the one I linked earlier. And the other one I linked earlier will take a standard PSU.

The M1 is too big but the Hadron is perfect? Did you even look at the dimensions? The Hadron is the larger of the two:

NCASE M1: 240 x 160 x 328mm, 12.6L
EVGA Hadron: 305 x 169 x 308mm, 15.9L

It's a moot point though, since the M1 was only available for a limited time. Enjoy your Hadron.

It's 1U, not TFX.

I would love to get the NCASE but the problem is I need the case very soon. Oh, and I'm an idiot for thinking the M1 was too big.
