Need help upgrading a few components to old gaming PC

Hi guys, i'm not very good with computers, I briefly know the basics but i'm still kinda vague.
3 years ago I had a PC built for me for low-medium end games, such as WoW, etc. I would like to upgrade some of the parts but I don't really know where to start, or what actions be recommended. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can afford up to about £300, thanks

At the moment here are my specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 260 Processor 3.20 GHz
RAM: 8.00GB DDR3
Motherboard: Foxconn 2AB1h with AM3 socket (i think that's correct)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5450

Cheers guys =)

Thanks dude! exactly what I was looking for! I did look at the FX 6300 earlier and was tempted to buy that, but it wouldn't fit with this motherboard, would you recommend anything without me having to buy a new motherboard? even though it's fairly old? :o
  3. No , you need a new board to support the FX6300.

I understand that. There are Phenom and Athlon processors out there that would still fit with this motherboard, but i'm not sure how well they would perform or if they're still even available
  5. Get the three , i listed , it will do the job for you.

FX 6300 is the better choice with the board.

This was the kinda response I was hoping for, as much as it's interesting to learn about each component and how it works, it makes things so much easier when somebody just tells you what to buy hahaha, greatly appreciated thanks, should last a while=)
