i have several floppy discs in MIDI (music) format - these were recorded in the late 90s thru 2003 - they will not play thru my floppy drive (i have many others that do play). i think these might be a different density or speed.
any idea how i can copy these files to cd? i don't mind buying a different drive but don't know what to look for.

thanks, al

tried this - it says the disc is not recognized - it may not be formatted.
this disc does play in the pian but only 2 songs at a time - i have transferred all other discs to cd and memory for continued play but computer will not recognize these. i think there may have been a different recording type used during that period or there is some kind of propritory read protect.

GS was an update that Roland did to genernal midi (GM) tables to incorporate more features. Later GM1 replaced that. so a GS instrument just refers to one capable of handling GS midi.

What was the name brand of the piano these came from? I'm thinking they might be in an amiga format which if I remember right, was pretty big in the Music world back then.
