My Canon inkjet iP3600 is giving me an error message that informs ‘paper is jammed at the paper output slot’. I have examined the printer visually and can find no evidence to support that fault. I have tried to follow the experience of another on here by implementing the bottom plate cleaning but it won’t execute that for the same reason. I have been very happy with this printer and I will be sad if I have to throw it away and buy a new one; largely because dedicated home/office inkjet printers are now hard to come by because they seem to be replaced by multiple purpose inkjet printers.

I have experienced similar problems with other printers when a very small piece of paper (from a previous jam) went unnoticed somewhere along the paper path. You may have already done so, but I would suggest a re-inspection of the path. It really doesn't take a very large piece of paper to trigger such an error.

Good luck!

I have examined all of the accessible parts but I am not going to try and get past any obvious physical restraints. The problem remains!
