Hello people,
I want to upgrade my gpu, currently i have a ATI Radeon 5700 series HD. So a friend of mine told me that a good one for gaming is the asus geforce 650ti boost. Would it be a big upgrade, and if i change the gpu will i have to change other components?

What is the rest of your system specs? I would recommend the HD 7850 its better than the 650ti and cheaper.

What PSU are you running right now? The 650 Ti BOOST is an excellent bang for the buck. I have one and it's been awesome!

For 650ti boost, you need 500 or 600 watts power supply.

I've often used this chart for a comparison of graphics card hierarchy.

650ti boost is way up there with the best.

As we don't know your other components its impossible to tell, but a card as fast as this could easily be bottle-necked by a slow CPU and a limited amount of RAM.

thanks for all the replies, on the cpu-z program it says in the timings table section that the voltage is 1.50V, and honestly i don't know what the psu is.
Furthermore i have an intel core i5 750 @ 2.67GHz.
Oh and also are there some better gpu's out there also at an affordable price?

That's just your CPU voltage, more than likely. You probably need to crack open the case and read the side of the power supply (PSU) to find out what it is. Sounds like it's probably not a quality PSU though, so you're gonna want to think about upgrading it.

Not sure what 'affordable' means for you, can you tag a price range on that? For the money, the 650 Ti BOOST is an excellent option. I'd get it over the AMD 'equivalent'

EDIT: here are a couple decent power supplies that would do the trick:

It is about double the performance of HD5770 more if you are coming from HD5750.
