My father passed away recently and he obtained a number of RAM, CPU's and HDD's from his place of work. I am unsure if they work or not but would like to sell them. I have a basic understanding of hardware but do not want to, nor do I have the time to individually test each one. Is there possibly a way to test them in bulk to see if and which ones work/do not work? Some of them are the same brand/model but some are not. I would like to get as much as possible out of them but also am strapped for time. Thank you for your help.

You will need another computer to test all of this stuff.
The CPUs will be most different because it's unlikely they will all be the same socket type.

The RAM and HDDs should be somewhat easier, just connect them to compatible systems and boot from UBCD (found here) to test for hardware integrity.

I think your best bet is going to be listing them as a job lot of assorted components on eBay. Just be sure to list them as 'condition unknown' and presuming you have around 10 items, you should pick up around $30 or £20

Best of luck, keep us posted!
