Hi,

Recently the fan on the heat sink of my card has stopped working, it seems to work for the first 10 mins or so after booting up, so i don't think its a hardware thing. iv taken it out, checked it for dust etc, and tried using a different pci-e connector to connect it to the psu. iv tried toggling it in afterburner and in the 10 mins or so when it works it toggles fine but after that it doesn't respond. 30 mins of cod4 and its at 90 celcius, and 5 mins of furmark 1080x1024 stress and its at 100 celcius

Cards a Sparkle GTX 650 with stock heatsink

would be open to the idea of aftermarket cooler but do any work well?

Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Aftermarket coolers are what the board partners put on the cards instead of the reference cooler. This one for $17 will work just fine for you but be sure to have some good thermal paste if the cooler doesn't come with any:

No need to spend a ton, if it works for a Radeon HD 7950, it will work for an nVidia GTX 650. The stock heatsink will be fine, just get the crap out of it and replace the fan(s) with this.
