Here's the story:
My computer froze during an update and ended up having to be shut down. Now, when I try to boot windows, it blue screens briefly after it finishes the flag screen (starting windows) and then restarts on its own. I decided to do a clean install of windows, but I've got a few problems.
First: When I set the boot priority to the CD first (there's no boot from CD/DVD option apart from in the BIOS setup), the computer still loads from the hard drive where Win7 is currently installed (and does the same thing I described before).
Second: I managed to get the Win7 installation disc to work by disabling the hard drive that has Win7 on it in the boot settings. Unfortunately, that means I can't install to it. I do have a second drive that I can install on, but that has its own problem. I deleted all the partitions on this drive, and when I click next, it says "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate and existing system partition. See the log files for more information."
I would appreciate answers to either of these issues. I can give my BIOS settings if you think it would help. Thanks!
