Hello everyone, this is my first post!
I recently became interested in building my own pc as a couple of friends t school had done it and i thought why not!
I have a budget of £500 and was wondering if anybody could surgest good combinations for me?
I will be using the pc for gaming and also doing homework etc( general use)

Thanks
Tom

Thankyou! I was just browsing around and noticed amd CPUs are much cheaper than intel, is this because theyre not as good, or are they worth looking into?

I don't want to start another intel-amd war in this forum. I propose this intel cpu because it comes with an intergraded gpu, so you can still work with your oc if you cannot afford to buy the 7770. Which cpus do you have in mind?

I was looking at an fx 8350 with a 7770 or an fx 6350 with a 7870 orrrrr an i5 with no gpu?

I strongly recomend the fx 8350, but you will need another motherboard like this one
