Are my Core temps too high?

When i play demanding games like bf3 my core 0 temp reaches 71C and when i play the bf4 beta core 0 reaches 83c. I have an i7 3770k but not overclocked. Are these temps too high. I have adequate cooling, do I maybe need to reapply thermal paste? Or is my board maybe screwed in too tight or something? Any help would be appreciated. I idle between 30 and 40 on each core. Also, When the core 0 temp hits 80 the rest stay in the 70's range and speedfan shows the cpu temp at about 69

Hi,

How old is the pc? You might have to reapply thermal paste.
Idle temps are normal, so I'm guessing the heatsink is installed correctly.
It could be normal you have these temps since both games are CPU oriented.
You rally want to keep the temps under 70 .

I dont think that ive taken the cooler off the cpu since i bought it which was probably a little over a year ago. How often should I reapply thermal paste? I have a feeling I may be past due.

I just retested, on bf3 only core 0 hits 70, the rest are low to mid 60's. Could the bf4 beta just be hitting 80 on core 0 and 70's on other cores because of how unoptimized it is? I'm pretty sure its just time to go get some more paste tho.
