Hey guys, I currently finished building the follownig:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ECRY

The SSD is detected. I installed the SSD yesterday and today decided to go buy the Seagate Barracuda and install it. After trying to install it, I notice it is not being detected whatsoever. I go to device manager and it is not there =s

Anyone know what could be going on?

Thanks

Solution
Please open disk management(diskmgmt.msc).

Since the drive is new Windows will have to initialize it before you can format and give it a drive letter that my computer can see.
If you connected to the grey connectors, please ensure that you have the marvel driver installed(if needed).

You should use the BLACK ports if you can.

If you use the black ports, they should work without issues, but it may not hurt to make sure you have the latest Intel software as it can be used to see if the drive is detected as well.

Ok well, I have some progress =s Now its being detected by device manager as ST100DM003. When I open My computer though, Only the SSD shows up, do i have to install some driver or something?

Edit: O and I tried plugging it into grey and black port. Atm its in the black port

Edit2: I am also using Seatools for windows program and it seems to be saying the hard drive is fine
