will it boost my video performance on LCD? or should i continue with VGA?

Solution
Yes, but the problem is that your monitor only accepts an analog input. The DVI connector is capable of housing both digital and analog signals, so you can use that, but your digital output is not going to make it into the monitor. It will still fundamentally be the same inferior analog signal. The adapter does not magically allow your screen to accept a digital connection.
