I have a mecer pc with windows 7 ultimate 32 bit installed on it. My sound is not working it says no output device is installed. My hd audio is installed because when I went to device manager it shows that my hd audio driver is working correctly. Can anyone please help me with this?

My pc is a Mustek mecer x102 Intel corp D945GTP and I think the sound card on the mother board is foxconn. Thank you in advance. Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place.

Just for my own peace of mind, are the speakers connected to the green port in the motherboard?

I have a feeling the service may have stopped.

Press start and search services.msc and press enter
locate the Windows Audio service and stop it. Then start it again.

Have you tried restarting the PC?

Yes it is connected to the green port. I have tried stopping it and starting it again but its still the same thing. I restarted my pc a lot of times its still the same. I've been having this problem for about a week now because I switched from wind xp to wind 7.

Actually, doing some research, I found that your motherboard doesn't support Windows 7 64bit.
If you look HERE, there is only 1 driver made for 64bit and dozens for 32bit.

If you want full functionality, you'll need to downgrade to 32bit.

Ok I have a windows xp disc service pack 3 and I have a windows 7 disc that has all the os's on it. What do you suggest I do in order to fix the sound?. On my second hard drive I have windows xp installed and the sound doesn't work either. The audio device on high definition audio bus driver is missing but it has the legacy audio drivers and everything.

Ok I done that. When the computer restarts with the windows xp hard drive it runs the found new hardware after un-installing the hd audio driver then it does not install and tells me there was a problem installing the driver.

I just want to know if my pc uses soundmax or realtek or what drivers so that I know which driver to download and if it doesn't work I'll buy a usb audio device instead because having no sound on a pc is really bad
