My motherboard supports 4 sata devices via the Intel Z77 chipset. I have three 3TB HDD's and a 256GB SSD that are 'spare', and trying to come up with a creative configuration for them. Because Intel SRT has a 64GB limit for SSD-Caching, is it possible to use the 256GB SSD in four partitions as cache for the other three HDD's, with the remaining 64GB as scratch? Or, does the 64GB of the SSD act as caching for all disks on the controller? Can someone clarify this for me?
