Right now I am using a PC I bubblegum and duct-taped together out of whatever-was-on-sale parts a few years back while I was in a very low-income situation. Which is linked here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/vsanthos/saved/2wOO
Right now I have a bit of money I am looking to invest in making my gaming rig a bit more robust, but not looking to invest a ton of money. I am looking to invest under $400, ideally. My absolute hard cap is $600. I'm not in need of a top-of-the-line rig, I want something that will run current games (preferably) on high and handle upcoming games like BF4 acceptably. I know that with the rig I linked I was running skyrim in mid-high just fine when I had time to game. This is what I was thinking of upgrading to: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/vsanthos/saved/2wHe
Concerns and comments from me: I am not sure if upgrading the RAM will give me much in terms of performance if I am not upgrading the CPU, also, is a motherboard upgrade even necessary? The SSD is also on the block for something I can see myself doing without. I have never had one, so I find it easier to do without if necessary. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me out. I've been out of the hardware world for a while.
