how do i know if a graphics card is compatible with pci express slot

What tells me if a graphics card is compatible with computer
Computer is Compaq sr5703wm
Cpu-AMD SEMPRON 1250
Gpu-NVIDIA 6150 (INTEGRATED) That's what I want to upgrade!
Motherboard-Asus M2N68-LA

oof. well PCI-E is mostly backward compatible... so a pci-e 3.0 card will work with pci-e 1.0 or 1.1 or 2.0 and so on and so forth. That said your old sempron will probably bottleneck any pci-e 3.0 card you put into that old system.

Both are correct. And I also agree that there really isn't much of a point in upgrading. The cpu will hold you back =/

Since all vidcards these days are PCI-Express, they're all compatible. AGP and PCI cards are almost completely extinct.

Ok thank you lol, I'm new to this stuff. Also would it be able to run rigs of rods just how it is now?

well your sempron should be able to run that game... and any cheap hd 6670 will probably be far too much gpu for your needs.

Would even say like a Radeon 5450 HD or 6450 be a good invesment or no
