What tells me if a graphics card is compatible with computer
Computer is Compaq sr5703wm
Cpu-AMD SEMPRON 1250
Gpu-NVIDIA 6150 (INTEGRATED) That's what I want to upgrade!
Motherboard-Asus M2N68-LA
oof. well PCI-E is mostly backward compatible... so a pci-e 3.0 card will work with pci-e 1.0 or 1.1 or 2.0 and so on and so forth. That said your old sempron will probably bottleneck any pci-e 3.0 card you put into that old system.

Heironious :
If it fits, it's compatible.
Both are correct. And I also agree that there really isn't much of a point in upgrading. The cpu will hold you back =/

Ok thank you lol, I'm new to this stuff. Also would it be able to run rigs of rods just how it is now?
