how do i get my wifi working on my laptop after installing a new operating system?

i have an hp pavillion dv6110 and i installed windows 7 on it and i was wondering how to get my wifi working again? it doesent even show an adapter to enable.hp dosent have a driver for 7 yet for this model. how do i find out what my wifi adapter even is

You would need to find the drivers for it somehow. If you look at the HP page that shows specs, you might be able to find the adapter model. You might even want to try the XP or Vista driver.

As Deemo said, once you find the adapter model number you should be able to Google then download the correct drivers.
