new screen is white

had a new screen installed on laptop but when I turn it on the screen turns white and flickers with lines in it. I can hear windows 7 install whenever I carriage return.

It was not installed properly or it was the wrong screen for your model. If someone installed it for you, bring it back to get fixed. If you did it yourself, make sure you did the installation properly and you have the right screen for your laptop.

Was the inverter replaced along with the screen? It's a cheap part to get, you may was well replace that too in-case the screen itself was not the issue.
