I've spent around 2 months developing an application in VB.NET (Visual Studio 2010) on my laptop running Windows 7 32-bit. I transferred the files to my desktop (see my profile) which runs Windows 7 64-bit. Running the .exe files gives me the error message:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item"

I've tried placing the files in Program Files (x86) which doesn't work. I've also disabled my antivirus and firewall which didn't help. I'm not quite sure what it causing this error but the application is able to run in Comodo's sandbox and works when I open it in VS2012 and debug it. What could be cause of this and a possible solution?

Thanks for the reply. I would have done so if I didn't use a third party installer but I figured out the problem. Comodo HIPS caterogised the files as "unrecognised" without any notification and I only found the list of files in the settings.
