Hi, as stated I have a Dell T620 which I want to put a GTX 780 GPU in to.

The GTX card has a 6 and 8 pin power connectors, the MB has a few power connectors coming on to it including an 8 pin which is in use, there is also a 10 pin (for optional PCIe SSD) and 12 pin (not sure what use but labelled x32-1) on the power distribution board below the MB (these are not being used).

I am looking for suggestions for a cable I can use for the job from either of the free connections or do you think a Y-splitter on the 8 pin that's supplying the MB and then an 8 to 2x 6+2 would be ok?

Thanks for reading.

Hi,

Did you solve the problem? I am trying to install Nvidia K5200 to Dell T620 server but i could not provide power yet. I tried 10 pin and 12 pin connectors in power distribution board without success. I'll try to get power from 8-pin mother board power cable using y splitter but i just want to ask you about it. Anyway, please let me know, if you had success.

Regards,
