Hey guys, so I finally put together my new pc with an Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard, i7 920 processor and now it's detecting my hard drive properly. Its a brand new 1TB hard drive so I find it hard to believe that its a hard drive issue....It's weird because it shows in BIOS its connected in SATA2 which means it shows but for some reason when I go to install a copy of windows on it its blank and says no drives found. Also when the computers first starting up it says No Physical Disk No Virtual Disk found? I dont know why its doing that though....my computer guy I usually deal with says its probably something to do with RAID and its thinking theres supposed to be 2 hard drives? Please help me figure this out guys I'm so close to having it running yet so far! It's gotta be a simple BIOS setting or something. Computer guy wants 100 bucks to fix it and I'm just not willing to fork out that cause its gotta be something simple.

Solution
on the motherboard make sure your sata devices are on the red intel sata ports not the orange ones. in the bios make sure the sat port set to achi mode. the setting on page 3-14 of the online motherboard user guild.
