hi all,

First off sorry for this enormous long post, but I tried to squeez in all the info/specs I could...

So,
i've decided to build up a custom pc (on a semi-budget?) and so far i'm going for the below listed specs. I know purchasing online are cheaper, but since its almost all from the same shop, at least i'll be covered with their own warranty as a whole and further more can get my items within few minutes. For those interested I'm getting most my stuff from here www.scanmalta.com as its the largest one on the island and possibly the cheapest too. Btw If you think there's a better combination feel free (actually pls do!) suggest any changes as long as they're in the same price range

750W Corsair Builder Series CX ATX Power Supply (95euro)
Intel Core i5 4670K Haswell 3.4 GHz S1150 CPU-Retail (245 euro)
Gigabyte Z87-HD3 S1150/ DDR3/SATA3/ ATX MotherBoard (125 euro)

I got the K/z87 combination because I intend on trying overclocking in the future, but not for now as like that there's plenty of power to get it rolling :)
I will be look into better cooling in the future, so the case i'll be getting should have ample space for larger coolers/watercoolers and not

For hard disks and vga i will be using my current ones (2tb sata3, and gtx650 evga)

What I'm still not sure on are memory and cases, and here they go

(I wish to have 8gb so I'll go for 2x4gb paired, opted for corsair as its the only one to have lifetime warranty from those available)

4GB Corsair DDR3 PC1333 9-9-9-24 Memory (36.50 euro)
4GB Corsair DDR3 PC1600 11-11-11-30 Memory (36.50 euro aswell)
8GB (2x4GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC-1333 Memory CAS 9-9-9-24 (85euro)
8GB Corsair Vengeance PRO Black 8G(2x4GB) 1866MHZ 9-10-9-27 (79.88euro) (<-- the last one from a different shop)

I don't know if the xms3 is worth the extra cash, since its 12euros more expensive, and its still 1333mhz, unlike the cheaper 1600mhz (is the tighter cas 9 worth the money against an 11 latency?)

Lastly, cases! These are from different stores since a case isn't that troublesome (hopefully) that needs to be within the same package for warranty concerns.

Nox NX3 (90euro, yep despite 39.90 official price)

ITEK Furia G5 (100euro)

ITEK Snake-G (75euro)

Cooler Master K380 (85euro)

The looks I like most is the Itek Furia, i'm choosing my case solely based on appearance as these particular models are almost all alike internally & fan abilities? further more I like the side transparent window :)

Thanks
Steve

Out of the case's you have picked I would agree the Itek Furia looks like about the best of them. I can't really say for sure as I have never built any rig in a case smaller than a Full Tower I just find them to small for me.

From the pictures though it looks like that case does not come with much of any fans so that is something you will need to look into to get proper cooling in that case. You will at least want one for the back and maybe the top also. Without good cooling the heat is just going to build up in that case as there would be no were for it to go.

As for the memory I would agree with^ go with the 1600MHz cas 9 ram and you will be happy with it.
