Droping fps in all games 650ti boost 2gb

hey guys, so i got a gtx 650ti boost 2gb, 3 months back this card struggles to to play just about any games i toss at it. i have a amd fx 4170 i know i am getting a bottle neck but it cant be that bad!? like playing gta 4 and getin 20 fps, or crysus 3 20 25 fps same for far cry blood dragon, i get stable fps with fifa 14, sim city 5 also lags, is this gpu that bad or is this even normal? i can play bioshock at high settings and get 55/60 fps, but itis niver stable!

Done all that, i have tryed overclocking, messed about with the nvida settings, been on you tube to see if any one has the same problem, cant find anything on it. i know its not the best of gpu's but surely it can run these games at low to medium settings, just tryed prototype 2 there, 15 to 20 fps not even playable! starting to lose hair with this now, really wanto get into pc gaming, but its becoming a nightmare, mite need to boot up the old ps3 agen :heink:

dont know if these settings are rite? tried just about everything though, also scanned my pc for viruses etc

do you have another card to try or can you borrow one?

been to windows updates lately?

as far as frames go......... you can't judge the games as being equal. each one hammers cards and cpu's differently............so the frames will be different.

the hardware, your cpu is lacking-kinda like a 965 trying to play modern games....... gpu lacking. borderline on performance.

what happnes if you lower your resolution and play?

i am using a sony brava lcd 40" tv atm. av tried 1080p & 720p still the same out come! my temps are good also and there is no virus detected! only game i can run and get 60fps flat out with no problem is fifa 14! the rest drop prototype 2 crysus 3 gta 4 the list gos on! i know these games are demanding but surely i could run these games on low settings easy? the 650ti says it can run directx 11 games, i tried Outlast, played about 30mins before i gave up and unistaled it! i dont know what to do. i see so meny go review about my gpu i just dont see the hype
