really confused with amd's new cards can somone explain?

So next week or somewhere near that amd is launching new gen cards i dont understand shit from them so can anyone can explain how powerful are those cards by comparing with them old cards . For example ( R7260 is equal better or less powerfull than a 7850 ) please explain it to me like that because i might buy one if its good. are in what range will these cards come?

We will know soon but we can make some good assumptions based off of preliminary information(specifications, TeraFLOP rtings, 3D Mark ratings provided by AMD). All but the R9 290x are fairly easy to approximate performance since they are tweaked/rebadged versions. The R9 290x is the wild card nobody really can pinpoint until we see some real world testing.

The R7 260X will be around HD 6970 performance.
The R9 270X will be around Nvidia's GTX 670 performance.
The R9 280X will be around AMD 7970 GHz Edition performance.
The R9 290X should be around Nvidia's Titan's performance but will have to wait and see.

Honestly I do not believe there is much to compare to at the moment since AMD claims that these cards will be more powerful than the GTX Titan. The cards are being released tomorrow and everyone will know more when benchmarks and comparisons are published. There are 2 different series of cards, R7, and the R9. The R9 is going to be marketed towards gaming while the R7 is the more affordable option.
