greetings most learned ones, wonder if anyone can help me.I just installed an ssd drive, sandisc 128Gb only used for win 7 ultimate and win office(so far) used up only 41 Gb of space but it runs soo slow.are there any special drivers for it?I have just run as ssd benchmark and my read speed is 193.24mb/s and write 122.61mb/s

ahh sorry folk didnnt put my mobo in.Asus M5A 78LMLX V2, just checked it out its sata II 3Gb/s.Makes more sense now.Ran ATTO get read of 225 and write of 183.guess I need a new mobo to get the right speed

Solution
Have you got it connected to the right SATA port ( SATA III the 6GB one) rather than the SATA II, and make sure it is the Intel port on the motherboard? Also, use the ATTO benchmark, rather than Crystal DiskMark - see if there is a difference.

Just read your edit on the original query, and looked at the specs for your mobo. Yes, you would need a new mobo to get full speed out of your SSD. However,it will still be quicker than booting from HDD even with your present mobo.
