Hello guys i would like to ask you Is There a big difference between this 2 CPU in rendering
I m working in Adobe PS,AE and Sony Vegas So is there big difference in rendering?
I know is 8320 better but i dont have enough money for 8320..So if i overclock 6300 a bit do i will get roughly speed like 8320?

Solution
Well, for rendering specifically, the 8320 has a big advantage in that it's an 8 core. Most rendering programs will use as many cores as you can throw at them. Which means you would ultimately be better off with the 8320 if you have both CPUs clocked at the same speed. You would have to have the 6300 clocked about 33% higher than the 8320 to make up the difference. Honestly, the 8320 is a great buy for budget rendering/gaming rigs.

Well Thank you..but i already bought Mobo(Ga-970a-ds3 rev3) which cant handle 8320 Cpu so fx 6300.. btw do you know do i will be able to play games on high/medium with this CPu in next 2-3 year?

Vegas12 has a GPU-assist that can boost your encoding dependent upon output format.

Also - the 95w FX8300 is starting to pop up in Europe (already dirt-cheap in SK). Hopefully, we will see 'em soon in the US but probably with an FX-8350-like price if past history is any guide.

I suspect it is already qualified for your motherboard.

You will still be good with the 6300, the 8300 or 8320 would simply be better. That doesn't mean you won't be able to render, or anything, it just means for those tasks the others would be faster. The 6300 will still do it.

What CPU are you currently using?

As noted, when (if?) they hit the US, they are likely to come with a 95w premium 8350-like new-price smell - LOL - at least until things settle out. I've been waiting damn near one year for one :)

If you have a Deneb quad and the GPU-assist in Vegas works for you, it would likely be worth the wait, but otherwise, the FX6300 should work just dandy for you in apps and gaming.
