I already have an Asus Gtx 660 and i was thinking about buying another one and run them in SLI.

However, i know that this card is not the most powerful and it is rather old so should i buy another or should i sell the one i have and buy something like a gtx 770?

Any help would be appreciated!

If you can I would sell the 660 and get a 770 thats the best answer. Though running 660 in SLI is not bad if you have to go that route just make sure your getting deal on the 660.

Thanks! Do you think that there would be any performance difference between the two options?

Hi Capticom,

I would say the answer depends on the resolution you are gaming at.

If you are still with 1080p and dont plan on buying a 2560x1440 monitor anytime soon I would definetly save my money and just add a second 660. 660 x 2 in SLI will handle ANYTHING you throw at it at the 1080p resolution.

For reference in this benchmark

660 SLI ran BF3 at ultra settings with 4x AA and 16x AF at a whopping 127 FPS!

If you are planning on upgrading soon or are already gaming on 2560 x 1440 (you can get some of those displays for 300$ on ebay, I bought a Crosover Q27 and was blown away) then I would recommend the GTX 770 with the option of adding a second GTX 770 down the road.

Well actually I think 660 in SLI should be faster than 1 GTX 770 in games that scale well with SLI. The thing is 660 SLI generate more heat, suck more power and you *MAY* be limited with only 2Gig of ram at some point.

Wow thanks for the answer! I am currently using a dell ultrasharp 24 inch monitor that has a resolution of 1920x1200 and also another crappy 19 inch 4:3 monitor just for ease of use. I will probably get another dell or a TN monitor for gaming later.

I am also planning a water cooling loop so I guess I can buy a water block for the 770 without it being outdated too quickly
