I'm upgrading from my 7770 and I'm not sure what to buy!

A 7870 or a 7950... I see conflicting benchmarks of each card all over the biased internet :(

If your PSU can handle it, definitely the 7950. Yes, there are reviews and benchmarks out there that say an O/C 'd 7870 will perform as well as a 7950, but if you can afford it, why not get the 7950 and O/C that?

I've found some 7950 cards with a lower Core/Memory speed than 7870s though, I don't know which ones to get! Any suggestions?

The 7950 originally shipped with very low clockspeeds, but had massive overclocking headroom. The original 7950 ended up not being much faster than the 7870 as a result. Subsequently, the 7950 boost was launched, which bumped up the stock clockspeeds considerably, creating a much larger performance gap between the 7870 and 7950. An original 7950 should be able to achieve 7950 Boost speeds easily if you feel that you can do the overclocking yourself. If you don't want to do the overclock yourself, look for a 7950 boost model that has the higher stock clockspeeds.
