System specs:

Amd Phenom IIx4 960T 3.0 Ghz - unlocked 2 cores OCd @ 3.7 Ghz (6 cores)
Asus M5A97 AM3+ mobo
Gigabyte 6850 OC edition Running at Manufacturers settings
8 GB Hyper X Ram (Quad Channel) 1333mhz
Antec Green 500W PSU
Hard drives

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card for the upcoming next gen games. I would like to stay @ $300 or below, from Newegg or other AMD Reward Approved sites.

I am nervous because my PCI-e are 2.0 and I am afraid my CPU will bottleneck a new graphics card. Will it? Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

Second Question:

Will i get better graphics transferring the Gigabyte 6850 (replacing a 6770) in the following build:

Amd Athlon IIx4 3.0ghz ( I can overclock but only if necessary because I will have to buy a cooler, if it will increase fps that is an option)
Gigabyte A5-DS22 mobo
4GB Corsair Value Select Ram 1300mhz
Sapphire HD 6770

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Solution
you may see some bottle necking from the CPU but it will not be that bad. no matter what you replace you always seem to shift the bottle neck somewhere else. I'm running the 7970 and i see some bottle necking but it is not bad.

question 2. Yes the other system will see a speed up in graphics.
